Originally from the Basque region, Mattin has lived in Paris since he was 4. His exceptional gift for studying, interpreting, designing and painting is translated through his masterly figurative capability.

His artistic excellence is now part of history. In 2006 he was recognised by the most important museum reference dictionary for acclaimed artists of all time - a very rare honour for a living artist.
